LEF-E accepts original work only for consideration. Contributors grant to LEF-E the unrestricted rights to publish and disseminate their manuscript in electronic format for the length of the journal’s existence. However, a contribution released in LEF-E can be reprinted elsewhere—either online or in print—as long as the contributor credits LEF-E for the article’s first appearance in the form of a footnote or endnote.
Contributors
Each contributor retains the copyrights to any work accepted for publication. At the time of submission, each author acknowledges that he/she is the sole owner of his/her contribution and he/she states that it is his/her original work. The contributor also warrants that his/her material has not been previously published and is not being considered for publication elsewhere. In addition, it is the entire responsibility of the contributor to obtain written permission for the use of copyright material quoted in excess of fair use as defined by the United States copyright laws and give proper credit to borrowed sources. Finally, each contributor must make sure that his/her contribution contains no libelous or unlawful statements.
Readers
LEF-E readers may quote part of the articles published online only for fair use as stated by the United States Copyright Office. Any distribution or full publication of an article published in LEF-E constitutes an infringement of the contributor’s copyright unless the reader has obtained prior written authorization from the journal. Nevertheless, the contributor agrees not to hold LEF-E responsible for any damages arising from unauthorized use of his/her work by a third party.
